Details: Produced by The Perth Mint in Australia, the 2020 1 oz Australian silver Brumby (horse) coin by The Perth Mint – Australia, is the first release of the series.

Offered to you in “brilliant uncirculated” condition and struck in 99.99% fine silver, the coin comes in a protective acrylic capsule and a certificate of authenticity.

A brumby is a free-roaming feral horse in Australia, commonly found in the Northern Territory. It was thought that when soldier and pastoralist James Brumby was transferred from Sydney to Van Diemen's Land in 1801, he was forced to release a number of horses into the bush. Brumbies are the descendants of these horses.

Wild, independent and making the most of an otherwise hostile environment, the brumby is seen as a symbol to the national character of Australia.

The obverse features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.

The reverse features a wild Brumby running through a shallow pool of water. The inscriptions “Australian brumby, 2020 1 oz 9999 silver” are also included, along with the Mint’s “P” mint mark and the inscriptions (JM) for Jennifer McKenna, who designed the reverse.
