Kennedy Half Dollar Transitional Collection - 4 Coin Set”
Kennedy Half Dollar Transitional Collection - 4 Coin Set”
The Transitional Kennedy Half Dollar Collection presented by the American Coin Treasures includes four Kennedy Half Dollars. The Kennedy Half Dollar was introduced in early 1964, only a few short months after the death of President John F. Kennedy. It remains one of the most beloved symbols of his legacy. This first in this four piece collection is a Kennedy Half Dollar from the first year of issue, 1964. It was minted of .900 Fine Silver. The second is a 1965 Kennedy Half Dollar, which was produced of only .400 Silver (until 1969). The third coin is dated in 1976, the reverse features the Independence Hall in Philadelphia to commemorate the Bicentennial of America's Independence. And finally, the 1977 when the mint returned to the original designs. The collection comes packaged in a vinyl folio (8" x 5") with a colorful and informative insert, and a certificate of authenticity.
