Details: Produced by the prestigious United States Mint, the release of the 2023 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle represents the 37th anniversary of the series.

Sourced directly from the U.S. Mint, the coins are offered to you in a Brilliant Uncirculated condition with a certificate of authenticity.

Struck in 91.67% purity (22-karat) the coin contains 0.1091 troy ounce (3.393 g) of gold, in addition to 3% of silver and a balance copper with a reeded edge. The coin is a legal tender backed by the United States Government (authorizing legislation: Public Law 99-185) and has a denomination of five dollars (USD). They’re also allowed in an IRA.

The obverse features a design inspired by Adolph A. Weinman’s original creation with Lady Liberty draped in an American flag, walking gracefully as the sun rises over a ridge, symbolizing the enlightenment and hope that freedom represents and the importance of embracing peace to enrich ourselves with the hopes of a brighter life. Thanks to technological advancements in the design and minting process, the design now encompasses some of Weinman’s original details that were not previously possible. The refresh includes modifications to the Capitol Building, stars, torch, sun rays, and other design elements. The inscriptions “Liberty” and “2023” are found.

The reverse features a striking and detailed portrayal of a bald eagle's head in profile, symbolizing strength, freedom, and resilience. The eagle's focused gaze reflects the nation's forward-looking spirit and unwavering resolve. Surrounding the eagle design are inscriptions for the denomination, weight, fineness and country of issue, not to mention the motto “E Pluribus Unum, In God we trust”.
