# USA 1 dollar, 1974, Eisenhower Dollar, Mintmark S—San Francisco, this coin is in a blue envelope from the Department of the Treasury 1789 with the title 1974 Eisenhower uncirculated Silver dollar. In the envelope, there is a note that says, UNCIRCULATED 40% SILVER EISENHOWER DOLLAR COIN
These coins are produced in the same manner as coins made for general circulation, the only difference being that they contain 40% silver whereas those made for regular use will be cupro-nickel.
The uncirculated coins, unlike the individually produced proof coins, are minted on high speed presses, moved along conveyors, and run through counting machines.
