THE HISTORY
Queen Elizabeth II was the longest reigning monarch in British history. As head of State, the Church of England and the Commonwealth, her reign spanned 15 British Prime Ministers.
THIS COIN
These old chunky 50p coins were replaced by the current, smaller versions in 1997. They measure just under 4cm across, and show Britannia on the back.
THE FEEL
These coins have come from general circulation, so show a bit of history by their little bumps or scratches. All coins show the year clearly.
THE DETAILS
Each coin is polished, painted and covered in a chip-resistant coating. It comes on a backing card, with a sturdy keychain and packaged in a small brown envelope.
